It has also been praised by critics for its stunning plot twist, which only the most observant viewers could predict when the production first premiered.

It has already surpassed “Beowulf” and “Gods of Egypt,” two recent additions that have also been among the most-watched in recent days. At the moment, it’s in a close competition with Zac Efron‘s “17 Again” as it continues to climb the chart.
The film tells the story of a child psychologist, Dr. Malcolm Crowe, who tries to help an eight-year-old boy, Cole Sear, that is terrified by his paranormal abilities: he sees spirits trying to tell him the circumstances of their tragic deaths. Crowe, haunted by the memory of a young patient he couldn’t help, sees in the kid an opportunity for redemption.
The cast is absolutely stellar. As it is known, Bruce Willis plays the main role, with his patient being Haley Joel Osment and his wife portrayed by Toni Collette. They are accompanied by Olivia Williams, Donnie Wahlberg, and Glenn Fitzgerald.
According to IMDb trivia, Toni Collette stated that she was so moved by the emotional resonance of the plot while filming that she did not even realize it was a horror film until after its release. Most viewers felt the same way while watching it, so if it’s your first time witnessing the story of Malcolm Crowe, be sure to at least keep a light on.
