  • The Outsiders

Let’s start with the winner of Best Musical: “The Outsiders”. Based on S.E. Hinton’s 1967 novel, the story is narrated by 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis and set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, during the 1960s. It explores the conflict between two rival gangs divided by socioeconomic status: the working-class “Greasers” and the upper-middle-class “Socs.”

Currently, it is playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. While the cheapest seats are already sold out for June, tickets are still available starting at $149.00.

Breaking the record for the most Tony Award nominations for a play with 13 nods, “Stereophonic” follows a fictional rock band on the brink of superstardom as they navigate the challenges of recording their new album, set between 1976 and 1977.

“Hell’s Kitchen” is a jukebox musical featuring music and lyrics by Alicia Keys, telling the story of her upbringing in Manhattan during the 1990s. It has been praised as one of the best productions of its kind, with critics comparing it favorably to “Moulin Rouge!”.
