<p><strong>Marvel Studios</strong> was a powerhouse of successes until the conclusion of Avengers in 2019, but since then, they have faced challenges in creating a film that truly triumphs like its predecessors. The Marvels was no exception, as it has been labeled as the biggest failure.</p>

<p>Well, it wasn’t just the abundance of special effects that made The Marvels a rather peculiar production, ultimately resulting in a box office failure. Disney CEO <strong>Bob Iger</strong> spoke about what actually happened with the film from his perspective, attributing some of the issues to production restrictions related to the pandemic.</p>

The <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a></strong>, directed by <strong>Nia DaCosta</strong>, had the lowest-grossing box office debut in the MCU history, with $46 million in its first weekend.</p>

With a production budget of<strong> $274.8 million</strong>, the film didn’t break even, only grossing $206 million worldwide (per Box Office MoJo) during its theatrical run. According to <strong><em>Forbes</em></strong>, the film needed to gross at least $439.6 million to break even, while having to earn around <strong>$700 million to become profitable</strong>.</p>

<p>The title has not only made a grand entrance into the catalog but has also managed to break records on the platform, solidifying itself as the biggest debut of all time for the TV company, garnering 13.3 million views in its first episode during the first six days.</p>



<p>The two previous movies, starring <strong>Logan Lerman</strong> and <strong>Alexandra Daddario</strong>, tell a different story than the new adaptation. Several characters have been altered and one of them is Medusa, portrayed by<strong> Jessica Parker Kennedy</strong>.</p>
