After the massive success of “Inside Out” and its recently released sequel, it was expected that Pixar would expand the universe inside Riley’s mind, so a spin-off series was announced…

The animated comedy-drama will be part of the Disney+ catalog next year and will portray Dream Production, the wacky studio that creates the protagonist’s dreams. Laughter will be the last thing missing from this new TV show.

Being a spin-off from the two film adaptations, the cast could vary, as Joy and her team won’t be the main characters, which means new stars will join the project to provide voices and bring it to life.

Peter Docter, Chief Creative Officer of Pixar Animation Studios, spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the new series derived from the original movie and during an interview, he assured:

“The first film, remember we go to Dream Production to see how Riley’s dreams are made? It semi-explains why they’re so weird. We’ve continued the exploration of the power of dreams and how they affect us in our waking life, as well. So it’s pretty cool“.
