Will Tom Holland Return as Spider-Man in the Next ‘Avengers’ Movies? His Latest Comments Have Fans Talking

Tom Holland may not have offered a definitive answer about Spider-Man's place in Marvel's next Avengers era, but his latest comments are already fueling discussion among fans eager to know whether Peter Parker will be part of "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Avengers: Secret Wars."

Speaking with Cinema ES, the actor addressed the possibility of returning for the upcoming crossover films, though he made it clear that he is not privy to every detail of Marvel Studios’ long term plans.

Tom Holland Weighs In on Spider-Man’s Avengers Future

Speaking about the two upcoming Avengers installments, Holland suggested that he remains largely in the dark about their storylines. “I don’t know a lot about those movies,” he admitted, before joking about his well-known tendency to let secrets slip. “I have a reputation for spoiling certain things, and I think the studios are keeping me away from the juicy details.”

The comments immediately caught attention because Spider-Man has not been officially announced among the principal cast members of “Avengers: Doomsday,” despite the character’s importance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Marvel has unveiled an enormous roster that includes Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and several Avengers veterans, Holland’s Peter Parker remains notably absent from the confirmed lineup.

Even so, the actor’s wording left the door open to future appearances. Referring to a potential return, Holland said, “When I do get to grace that set, I’m so curious about what that means for Peter and how that works.” He also described the prospect as “really cool” and added that he is “very excited about whatever it is that they do.”

For now, Holland’s immediate Marvel commitment is “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the fourth installment in his standalone Spider-Man series. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film follows the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” with Peter Parker operating anonymously in New York after the world forgot his identity. The project is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 31.

That release date has only intensified questions about Spider-Man’s role in Marvel’s broader plans. “Avengers: Doomsday” is set to follow later in 2026, with “Avengers: Secret Wars” arriving in 2027. As Marvel builds toward a multiverse collision involving heroes from several franchises, fans continue to watch closely for any hint that Holland’s web slinger will swing back into the center of the action.
