After Daniel Craig left the James Bond suit in 2021 with “No Time to Die,” there has been constant speculation about who will take on the mantle of the iconic 007 next. The list of contenders is wide-ranging and diverse, with names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Tom Hardy frequently coming up in the conversation.

Among them, Tom Holland has emerged as a solid fan favorite. And now, as he begins prepping for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which starts filming this month in England, the actor has finally addressed the rumors surrounding his potential involvement in the legendary spy franchise.

What Holland Said About the Bond Rumors

During a recent appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel, Tom Holland found himself on the receiving end of one of Hollywood’s most persistent rumors: Could he be the next James Bond? The conversation took a playful turn when Ramsay brought up the speculation, prompting Holland to acknowledge the chatter. “There’s speculation at the moment,” he said, keeping things vague. “We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day.”

Ramsay, however, didn’t let the moment pass without pressing a bit further. With genuine curiosity, the chef asked Holland if he could picture the dramatic shift in his life that would come with donning the tuxedo and carrying the license to kill. “First of all, you’d love that opportunity, right?” he asked, cutting through the usual PR polish.

Holland’s answer revealed a deep sense of gratitude and humility. He admitted that, like many actors from the UK, the chance to play Bond would be the ultimate honor. “I already consider myself the luckiest kid alive,” he shared, reflecting on the trajectory of his career. While he didn’t confirm any plans, his admiration for the role—and awareness of its impact—was crystal clear.

So, though nothing is official, moments like this only add fuel to the fan-driven fire. With a new “Spider-Man” film on the horizon and his name still circulating in Bond conversations, Holland’s star is already on the rise—but it’s set to soar even higher. In just a year, he’ll be seen in a major dramatic turn as Telemachus in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated epic “The Odyssey,” a role that will mark a defining shift in his career. Whether or not 007 is in his future, Tom Holland is clearly gearing up for a new chapter of leading-man status.
