According to PEOPLE, which obtained the court documents, Jean filed in Nashville, citing irreconcilable differences and alleging “inappropriate marital conduct” as grounds for the split.

Court records indicate that Jean, 36, listed June 3 as both the filing date and the date of separation. In the petition, she alleges that White’s conduct made further cohabitation “unsafe and improper,” language that has drawn attention as details of the filing became public.
Jean is also seeking financial support as part of the proceedings. According to the filing, she claims to be financially dependent on White and has requested alimony, continued medical insurance coverage, and the ability to remain a beneficiary on his life insurance policy. Representatives for both artists had not publicly commented on the matter at the time of reporting.
The split marks the end of a relationship that stretches back more than a decade. Jean, a singer, guitarist, and longtime Third Man Records collaborator, first connected with White professionally in 2009 after catching his attention with a demo she left for him before a Dead Weather concert.
