In an interview with Mastermind, Anya Taylor-Joy revealed she is approaching digital life with the same precision she brings to her performances, opting for stricter boundaries as her schedule intensifies.
The actress explained that she has taken deliberate steps to limit her exposure to social media, reframing her relationship with her phone in pursuit of something increasingly rare in Hollywood routines: sustained attention.
A Deliberate Reset in a Breakout Year
Rather than abandoning technology altogether, Taylor-Joy has imposed structure on it. She outlined a daily rhythm that confines social media use to short, fixed windows, explaining, “In terms of social media, I try to restrict myself to 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at lunchtime and 10 minutes around seven.”
That discipline appears tied to a specific concern. The actress noticed her reading habits slipping, a shift she did not ignore. After simplifying her device, she saw immediate results, noting, “Within four days of making my phone a dumb phone, I was back to reading at my same pace.” The speed of that change underscores how quickly attention can be reclaimed once distractions are reduced.
It’s hardly surprising that the A-lister is intent on making the most of her free time, with 2026 shaping up to be one of the busiest years of her career. She lends her voice to Princess Peach in “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” and leads the Apple TV+ series “Lucky,” which are set to release on April 1 and July 15, respectively. She is also set to appear in “Dune: Part Three” as Alia Atreides, expanding her presence within one of contemporary cinema’s most closely watched franchises.
Beyond the screen, her visibility continues to grow through high-profile fashion partnerships, serving as a global ambassador for brands such as Dior and Tiffany & Co. The combination of commitments places constant demands on her time, making her structured approach to social media less a lifestyle experiment and more a practical adjustment.
