If streaming services have one problem, it is that many of them have too many original films or series of questionable quality. That’s why Apple TV+ has been betting on few original productions, but always aiming for them to be of the best quality. One of them is this series that is number 1 in the US.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ is, according to FlixPatrol, the most-streamed series on the platform in the US. The show is part of the “MonsterVerse,” and follows the events of the film “Godzilla” (2014). Overall, is the second series in the franchise, as well as the sixth installment.

The series follows members of the Monarch organization, as well as the Randa family in 2015. There are also flashbacks to the 1950s, when younger Lee Shaw, Keiko, and Bill Randa founded Monarch. The first season has 10 episodes and, as it is a success critically and with audiences, many people wonder if it will have a second season.

The rest of the cast also includes Wyatt Russell, Kurt’s son, who plays the younger version of Lee. Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski complete the line up.

The series boasts an approval rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critics’ consensus stating that the Russell duo’s performance was one of the best aspects of the show, as well as the human element of the story.
