“Shrinking” has premiered the episodes of its second season on the Apple TV+ catalog, and shortly afterward, the platform announced that it had renewed the series with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford for a third installment.
The episodes follow Jimmy as he tries to cope with the death of his wife while being a father, friend and therapist. He decides to change his approach to people and become a completely honest person, without any filters.
The dramedy is a creation of Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, which had an incredible first season and has now released its new episodes, which will be released weekly until December 25th, 2024.
When is Season 3 of Shrinking coming to Apple TV+?
The main cast attended New York Comic Con 2024 and spoke with Collider about when they would begin filming the third season of Shrinking, and Brett Goldstein said, “I think we’ll start filming sometime in January“.
So, if filming begins in early 2025, it’s likely the episodes won’t arrive until after mid-year. Based on speculation and normal filming schedules, the third season would likely arrive around September/October.
The co-creator of the series also mentioned that they have been developing the script for the new 12 episodes for several months now and said: “We’ve been writing it for the last three months, so the fact that the announcement came, it was like, ‘Well, thank f*ck we haven’t been wasting all that time’”.
Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) plays Jimmy Laird, a therapist going through a deep emotional crisis, while Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) plays Paul Rhoades, a colleague of Jimmy, also a therapist with a long career in the field.
