The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards are getting closer, where multiple current artists (like the iconic Sabrina Carpenter) will take the stage. This morning, it was confirmed that one of them will be the host…
Megan Thee Stallion has been chosen by the team behind the event to take on the role of host. Therefore, not only is she nominated in several categories, but she will also be responsible for making the night more enjoyable.
The ceremony will take place on September 11 at the UBS Arena in New York and will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Several celebrities have been invited and one of the most anticipated moments is the arrival of Taylor Swift.
Megan Thee Stallion to host the 2024 VMAs
After several months of uncertainty, MTV has finally announced who will be hosting this year’s Video Music Awards, and it is none other than the incredible rapper and artist Megan Thee Stallion.
The awards ceremony will mark her debut as a host for an awards show, making it a truly special moment for both her and her fans who have followed her since her big debut in 2016 with her mixtape “Rich Ratchet”.
While it’s not her first time at the event, it will be the first time she is in charge on stage. The star has previously won two VMAs and is nominated for five this year, including Best Collaboration for her work with GloRilla.
It has not yet been confirmed whether she will only be the host or if she will also perform, but it is expected that she might, as the list of invited performers is quite extensive, including figures like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan.
