Following great successes like Ozark and Inventing Anna, the talented Julia Garner stars in a new project that has excited horror and classic film fans: “Apartment 7A“, the prequel to Rosemary’s Baby.
The story is set in New York City, 1965. What happened in the apartment before Rosemary moved in? A struggling dancer finds herself drawn into dark forces by a peculiar couple who promises her fame.
Natalie Erika James (Creswick and Drum Wave) is the director of this thriller, which boasts a cast full of iconic industry names, including Jim Sturgess as Alan Marchand (One Day) and Dianne Wiest (Edward Scissorhands).
When is Apartment 7A coming to Paramount+?
Apartment 7A is the prequel to one of the greatest classics: Rosemary’s Baby. The film will premiere at Fantastic Fest in September, before making its streaming debut on Paramount+ on the 27th of the same month.
The story and characters are based on the 1968 adaptation of the 1967 novel of the same name written by Ira Levin, so we can expect it to have the same dark, disturbing and religious tone as the original.
The production received an R rating for “Some violent content and drug use“, according to Bloody Disgusting’s X account dedicated to horror. The title could be one of the best options for Halloween 2024.
