The Rundown (known as Welcome to the Jungle in some countries) is a 2003 action-comedy film that has been re-added to Netflix‘s catalog, becoming one of the week’s trending titles once again.

Director Peter Berg managed to bring together several stars of the time to complete the project, which would later become a classic of the genre. The Rock, Seann William Scott and Rosario Dawson are some of those who were present.

The narrative is the creation of screenwriters R.J. Stewart and James Vanderbilt, blending action elements with comedic moments and maintaining a light tone, but with intense fight sequences.

The Rundown ranks No. 6 movie on Netflix US

Netflix has once again updated its American catalog and added several classics. One that has resurfaced as a trending title is “The Rundown“, the action drama starring several icons. This morning, it became the Top 6 in the US.

The film was one of Dwayne Johnson’s first major movies after transitioning from the world of wrestling to acting, helping cement his career in Hollywood, which is why it remains well-remembered.

The production was filmed on location in Hawaii and Brazil to recreate the Amazon jungle. In addition to The Rock, the main cast includes Seann William Scott, Rosario Dawson and Christopher Walken.

The story follows an aspiring chef who is hired to bring home a mobster’s son from the Amazon, but he gets caught up in a fight against a tyrannical oppressor of the town and the search for a legendary treasure.
