Our all-time favorite documentary series is back for more. “Unsolved Mysteries” has just returned to the streamer with its fourth season, featuring five real-life cases that remain unresolved and are sure to keep you up at night.
This reboot of the original NBC show, which aired from 1987 to 1997, has gained significant attention in recent years for providing viewers with updates on successful case resolutions and even aiding in solving them—like the infamous videotape arsonists case.
Although the latest installment has only been on the platform for a short time, those who were eagerly awaiting its release have already binge-watched it and are now wondering when the fifth volume will drop.
Netflix’s ‘Unsolved Mysteries’ co-creator Terry Dunn Meurer reveals the release date for Volume 5
In anticipation of the recently released episodes, co-creator Terry Dunn Meurer spoke with Variety about what’s new in the latest season and reflected on the show’s remarkable 37-year run.
During the interview, she revealed that Season 5 of “Unsolved Mysteries” is set to premiere this Halloween! Meurer teased that the upcoming season will feature four episodes, one of which she described as “the most baffling mystery I’ve ever worked on.”
That’s saying a lot, considering Volume 4 includes the eerie story of Jack the Ripper, Amanda Antoni‘s tragic basement case, a severed head found in the woods of Pennsylvania, the murder of Sigrid Stevenson, and the legend of West Virginia’s Mothman.
For the fifth part, we can expect another mix of lesser-known cases alongside globally famous myths—but this time, even creepier, darker, and more morbid. Stay tuned for more updates!
