One of Netflix’s most beloved (and hated in almost equal parts) series, ‘Emily in Paris,’ is coming back with its fourth season, which will be divided into two parts and it has revealed a great soundtrack. However, fans can’t wait to know what will happen next in Emily’s messy love and professional life… And that includes news of a potential renovation for a fifth season.

Season 3 was one of the most chaotic installments of the series yet, ending in a cliffhanger: Camille (Camille Razat) left Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) at the altar of their surprise wedding, confronting him about his feelings for Emily (Lily Collins)… Making Emily’s boyfriend, Aflie (Lucien Laviscount), feel betrayed and ending their relationship.

And, if that wasn’t enough, Gabriel and Emily admit their feelings for each other… But Gabriel also reveals that Camille is pregnant. So, let’s just say that there’s enough drama for many seasons to come… But is the Netflix series already renewed for a fifth season? Here’s what to know.

Has Netflix confirmed a Season 5 of Emily in Paris?

No, Netflix hasn’t confirmed that ‘Emily in Paris’ will have a fifth season yet… However, there were reports that it could have been picked up for another season after the amfAR Gala, which supports HIV and AIDS research, during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

At the event, a guest role in the show’s fifth season was auctioned off, presented by supermodel Winnie Harlow and actress Paris Jackson on behalf of the show’s creator, Darren Star. They revealed that filming for the season would start in mid-2025, according to Variety.

The prize was won with a bid of 250,000 euros (around $271,121.50), as shared by Ramin Setoodeh, co-editor-in-chief of Variety, on X. However, despite the auction, Netflix has not yet officially renewed the series for a fifth season. The amfAR website clarified that the walk-on role is “contingent upon season 5 pickup,” ensuring the winner didn’t leave empty-handed by offering them an invitation to the Los Angeles premiere of Season 4.

Initially, the wording from amfAR suggested that production for the fifth season had already begun, leading to some confusion. However, as Variety reported, the future of the new season is still uncertain, leaving fans and the auction winner in anticipation.
