“Trap”, written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, stars Josh Hartnett as Cooper, a father who takes his teenage daughter, Riley (Ariel Donoghue), to a concert featuring a pop superstar named Lady Raven, played by Shyamalan’s daughter, Saleka Shyamalan.

Upon arriving at the venue, Cooper notices a heavy police presence. He asks a Lady Raven T-shirt vendor (Jonathan Langdon) about the heightened security, and the vendor reveals that authorities have set up a trap to catch a serial killer known as the Butcher, leaving no possible way for the killer to escape.

The twist, which was revealed in the film’s trailer, is that Cooper is secretly the Butcher. He must now find a way to escape the concert hall before the police apprehend him. Currently, the movie is only available in theaters, so check your local listings. However, if you want to watch it at home, here’s what to know.

When Is ‘Trap’ Expected To Arrive On Digital Streaming And Max?

While there’s no official dates for the release of ‘Trap’ on streaming, we can deduce the schedule. As the film is distributed by Warner Bros., the movie will arrive on Max. In most cases, the studio releases movies on POVD at least 45 days after their theatrical release, and between three and six months for their streaming release.

One of the big factors is how successful a film is at the box office. For example, one of the most recent blockbusters from Warner Bros. is “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” The film premiered on March 29, made its PVOD debut on May 14 and began streaming on Max on July 4, which was 97 days after its theatrical release.

However, if the film doesn’t go well at the box office, it could be released on streaming sooner. Between 60-70 days after its theatrical release. So, in short: you can expect ‘Trap’ to arrive on Max between October and November.

What are critics saying about ‘Trap’?
