The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes on streaming
The Hunger Games 5, better known as The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, now has a release date and streaming platform for its debut. The Oscar-nominated drama will be available on Starz starting May 14, 2024.
Currently, you can also rent or buy it through Amazon Prime Video, Vudu and Apple TV. In case you’re looking to marathon before its release on the platform, remember that the original saga is available on AMC+.
The prequel has not only been one of the most successful in terms of fan response, hype, and nominations at various award ceremonies but has also been successful in terms of box office revenue.
It had a relatively modest budget of $100 million, and after just 31 days of its release, it managed to accumulate $300 million at the global box office, according to Collider and Box Office Mojo.
Despite Jennifer Lawrence (X-Men and No Hard Feelings), Josh Hutcherson (Five Nights at Freddy’s) and Liam Hemsworth (The Last Song) not participating in the new installment, the main actors did an excellent job bringing the new characters to life.
The film received mixed reviews, but Rachel Zegler (West Side Story and Shazam! Fury of the Gods) and Tom Blyth (Billy The Kid and The Gilded Age) were praised for their outstanding dramatic performances and versatility.
