“How to Train Your Dragon” is undoubtedly one of the major comebacks we’ll see next year, featuring two of the most talented young actors in the industry: Mason Thames as Hiccup and Nico Parker as Astrid.

The upcoming movie has been developed by Universal Pictures and is based on the successful animated trilogy by DreamWorks Animation, which has become a classic for children and families.

The project was directed by Dean DeBlois, who also served as the screenwriter and director of the original films. His return ensures that the live-action will retain the spirit and essence of the story we all know.

When will How to Train Your Dragon be released?

The live-action filming of “How to Train Your Dragon” wrapped up in May of this year, and it has been confirmed that it will hit the big screen on June 13, 2025. So, there’s still quite a wait before we can revisit the story.

Mason Thames and Nico Parker are two of the actors who will take on the most important roles in the dramedy, but they are not the only talented ones. Gerard Butler will return as Stoick, along with Nick Frost as Gobber.

The epic story, also written by the acclaimed director, follows a young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons and become a warrior but unexpectedly befriends a young and wounded dragon.
