Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been trending in recent months due to the number of new projects he has and the upcoming ones he will release, such as “Kraven the Hunter”, which is also one of the most anticipated from Marvel Studios.
However, this morning he’s back under the public eye for a very good reason. It seems that the “Train Bullet” actor has won the race to become the new face of the 007 franchise and will portray the secret agent.
It wasn’t a surprise that many top-tier male stars had entered some sort of competition to see who would be the new James Bond. And now, the filmmakers have their final verdict…
James Bond role offered to Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of the ideal candidates to be the new James Bond, and apparently, those in charge of carrying out the 007 reboot think the same. After a long wait, it was confirmed that the role was offered to the actor.
The franchise will have a new leading face because Daniel Craig has hung up his tie and suit to make way for new figures like the iconic secret agent who has seduced and defeated villains for a long time.
The Sun reported that the 33-year-old British actor has been chosen to replace the star of Knives Out, who portrayed the character for 15 years. Internal sources assured that Aaron will sign the contract this week.
Apparently, his new job would be confirmed, as the media has reached out to representatives of Taylor-Johnson and the popular franchise to get some comments on the news.
A source confirmed, “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he choose to accept it. The formal offer is on the table, and they are awaiting a response. He will sign his contract in the coming days, and they can start preparing for the big announcement”.
Before his new role was confirmed, rumors quickly surfaced. During 2023, the star spoke with Esquire and tried to dodge theories about him being 007, asserting that he had to follow his own pace.
“It’s my own path, what feels intuitive to me. I’ve never made a decision based on other people’s perspectives, judgments or expectations of me”, said the actor, giving no room for further theories and comments.
