Timothée Chalamet has been seen for the first time as Bob Dylan in the set of the upcoming biopic “A Complete Unknown,” directed by James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari, Walk The Line). Filming started this week, just after the 28 year old actor finished promoting “Dune: Part Two,” which has already surpassed $494.7 million at the global box office.
The sci-fi sequel is Chalamet’s second box office hit after “Wonka,” which was released in December, and it grossed $628 million worldwide. According to the specialized X account, FilmUpdates, the French-American actor is the first lead of the top two domestic grossing films over the last eight months since John Travolta in the 1970s with “Saturday Night Fever” and “Grease.”
While Chalamet has also been accompanied by critical acclaim his whole career, even earning an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in 2018, his role choices haven’t come without skepticism. Can he score another commercial and critical success? We’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime, this is all we know about the upcoming movie.
