In a new interview with Bustle, Dakota Johnson has opened up about her desire to be a mother, saying that she is “so open” to the possibility of having kids on her own. And, of course, many people now wonder who is the actress’ partner or if she is married.
Johnson, 34, has been dating Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, 47, since 2017. And, while there have been some speculations about a possible engagement between the two, the pair has never responded to the rumors.
Prior to Johnson, Martin was married to Gwyneth Paltrow for over ten years before divorcing in 2014. They have two children, Apple and Moses. And, as the “Madame Web” actress has admitted, they all get along pretty well.
Johnson opens up about motherhood and her relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow
When asked about motherhood, Johnson said that she is really keen “to experience everything that life has to offer. And especially being a woman,” she said. “If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it.”
In that same regard, she also revealed that she enjoys being a stepmom. “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart,” Johnson said. And, when the interviewer told her that the Internet was fascinated by her relationship with Paltrow, who recently shared a picture of the two of them holding hands, Johnson replied with happiness.
“That’s great. [Laughs.] I’m glad there was that positive reaction. I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying ‘Blood is thicker than water,’” she said.Johnson, of course, is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.
Griffith shares a son, Alexander, with ex-husband Steven Bauer and shares daughter Stella with ex-husband Antonio Banderas. Don, meanwhile, shares son Jesse with ex Patti D’Arbanville, and three children, Grace, Jasper and Deacon with ex-wife Kelley Phleger.
“No matter how f**** up it is, or who’s in rehab, or who’s not speaking to whom, or who’s divorcing whom, we’re family. And we are always going to be a family. It’s really real,” the actress said.
