All that Maya Rudolph touches turns to gold, and her comedy series for Apple TV+ was no exception. According to FlixPatrol, “Loot” remains the third most-watched series on the platform nearly two years after its release.
In this production, Maya portrays Moli, a woman married to a tech billionaire, leading a life of unparalleled luxury. Upon discovering her husband’s infidelity and subsequently divorcing him, she not only wins the legal battle but also becomes a billionaire herself. Yet, her opulent lifestyle triggers a midlife crisis, forcing her to step out of the comfort zone.
When it premiered in 2022, the first season rapidly established itself as a standout success. Since April 3rd, “Loot” has made its comeback with its highly anticipated second part, which already has four episodes available for streaming.
‘Loot’ is the third most-watched series on Apple TV+ globally
It’s no wonder that “Loot” is trending #3 on Apple TV+. On IMDb, three out of its four episodes were already rated by users as some of the best within the series.
The show is amassing such an incredible number of views that it has already surpassed “Ted Lasso”, the 13-time Emmy winner. Currently, it’s in a fierce competition with “Palm Royale” for the second spot in Apple TV+’s ranking. According to Flix Patrol statistics, it’s entirely plausible that “Loot” may claim an even higher rank.
Moreover, its iconic cast returned with all its members intact. Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Joel Kim Booster, Nat Faxon, and Ron Funches return once more to accompany Maya Rudolph’s character as she deals with her fortune problems.
