However, with more than 20 years on air, the show and the industry have changed, and so, the compensation for the participants.</p>

<p>According to Distractify, when Underwood won Season 4 in 2005, she received a <strong>$1 million recording contract,</strong> as well as the use of a private jet and a car. Sadly for the new contestants hoping to made it on Season 22 (for which you can already check out our <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/tv/american-idol-schedule-20240213-SPEN-5961.html">guide to the American Idol schedule</a></strong>), the reported prize money is less than that but it is still a sweet deal.</p>



<h2>What does the winner of ‘American Idol’ get?</h2>



<p>According to a report from <strong><em>Distractify,</em></strong> citing sources such as <em><strong>Taste of Country</strong></em>, the winner of American Idol receives a prize money of <strong>$250,000 and a deal with Hollywood Records/19 Recordings.</strong></p>



<p>Per the same source, the record label gives the winners $1,000 each week for living costs, as well as another<strong> $1,000 for every finished and turned-in recording.</strong> However, singers are expected to return the investment when they make the album, also paying back 50% of the costs of promotion too.</p>

<p>Another contestant, <strong>Madison VanDenburg</strong>, who finished third in Season 17, made her contract public. According to The Blast, the runner-up could get <strong>$87,500 first and another $87,000 later</strong> when they finish everything.</p>



<p>On the other hand, the same report, citing Newsweek, said that Noah Thompson (who won in 2022), only got<strong> $125,000 at first</strong> after signing the deal. He got the rest of the money after finishing a whole album in four months.</p>



<h2>Winning Idol doesn’t secure success</h2>



<p>In 2023<strong>, Samantha “Just Sam” Diaz</strong>, who won Idol in 2020, revealed that she had to return to performing on the subway because she needed the money. In a series of posts, the singer said that she left the label before releasing an album and owed them money.</p>

<p><em>“I’m recording all the time or making music all the time, writing every day, doing what I have to do to survive,” </em>she explained at the time, according to Just Jared. She explained that she<em> “just cannot afford to release music, because mixing and mastering music costs a lot of money. <strong>And I invested in myself and ended up broke. That’s the truth. <p>However, by judging how the season is going, it seems like there are several women whom Joey has strong connections with. One of them is <strong>Daisy Kent</strong>, who got the first one-on-one of the Season. So, here’s what to know about her.</p>



<h2>Who is The Bachelor contestant Daisy Kent?</h2>



<p><strong>Daisy Kent is 25 years old.</strong> She is an account executive from <strong>Becker, Minnesota. </strong>Despite being young, she told ABC that she is ready to “find the one,” inspired by her parents’ 30-plus-year marriage.</p>

<p>As per a CBS 8 interview, Daisy established the nonprofit <strong>Hear Your Heart in 2020</strong>. The organization is dedicated to assisting children with <strong>autoimmune disorders or hearing loss</strong> by providing medical aid, financial support for future education, and raising awareness about mental health for both children and their families.</p>



<h2>What disease does Daisy Kent have?</h2>



<p>During the second episode of the season, Joey had a one-on-one date night with Daisy, which included a helicopter ride and a musical festival. The pair had great chemistry, and <strong>Daisy confessed to Joey that she had a cochlear implant</strong>. She was diagnosed from Ménière disease when she was 17 and with Lyme disease at 21, which could have also contributed to her hearing loss.</p>

<p>According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, <strong>Ménière’s</strong> is a disorder of the inner ear that usually affects one ear. Common symptoms include<strong> dizziness, ringing in the ears, hearing loss</strong>, and a sensation of fullness or congestion in the affected ear.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, Lyme disease comes from tick bites and can give you symptoms like fever, headache, fatigue, and a specific rash. If not treated, it can affect <strong>joints, the heart, and the nervous system.</strong></p>

<p>While she was worried about how he would react to the news, he acted with class and was impressed by her. <em>“It takes a special type of person to be able to go through all these challenges in life and <strong>turn them into a positive</strong>,</em><strong><em>”</em></strong> he said.</p>



<h2>What book did Daisy Kent write? </h2>



<p>Apart from working on her non-profit organization, Kent wrote a children’s book titled <strong>“Daisy Doo: All The Books She Knew,</strong>” which follows a little girl who discovers her favorite sounds once again, thanks to a cochlear implant. </p>



<p>In a <strong>TikTok</strong> video, Kent explained that she loved to read the book to kids because it is important for them <em>“to see these kinds of things (referring to her implant) and have conversations about it.” </em></p>



<h2>Daisy Kent starred in a music video </h2>



<p>Before gaining popularity on The Bachelor, Daisy appeared in a song by Abe$ titled <strong>“Sundown” in 2021</strong>. She also starred in the music video for the song, alongside the artist. Sadly, the video is now private. </p>

<p>The latest installment of Ryan Murphy’s<strong> “Feud”</strong> anthology <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/series">series</a></strong>,<strong> “Capote vs. The Swans,” </strong>will premiere with two episodes on <strong>FX on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 10 p.m. ET. </strong>Then, there will be a streaming release on <strong>Hulu </strong>the following day.</p>



<p>The limited series is based on<em><strong> “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era”</strong></em> by Laurence Leamer. It was adapted by Jon Robin Baitz. Across eight episodes, viewers will follow the relationship between writer Truman Capote and the New York socialité women he surrounded himself with and <strong>nicknamed “the swans.”</strong></p>

<p>According to the FX press, Capote will befriend these women, becoming their “confidante” and then he will betray him by using their secrets to write his novel <strong><em>“Answered Prayers.”</em></strong> As a result, the women vow to ruin his life.</p>

<h2>Tom Hollander plays Truman Capote in ‘Feud’</h2>



<p><strong>Tom Hollander, </strong>known for many movies and series such as the “Pirates of the Caribbean” saga and “The Night Manager,” stars as <strong>Truman Capote.</strong> Talking to Vanity Fair, the actor said that he hopes viewers can empathize with the writer, despite his flaws.</p>



<p><em>“<strong>He may have been a very, very difficult person.</strong> I don’t think he was ever really loved when he was young, and so he didn’t trust anyone,” </em>he told the outlet. He also remembered that the writer was an addict and alcoholic and, thus, <em>“he was not in control […] I think we should be compassionate toward him. No one is wholly bad or wholly good.”</em></p>

<p><strong>Watts</strong> takes the role of<strong> Barbara “Babe” Paley</strong>, who was the writer’s closest friend and one of the trendsetters of the time. The Oscar-nominated actress said that her character <em>“had such grace and elegance […] but underneath it all, she had cracks. There was a <strong>lot of pressure to look that pristine </strong>all the time.”</em> Meanwhile, writer <strong>Baitz</strong> told Entertainment Weekly that both Capote and Babe are <em>“broken people. They’re both in similar kinds of pain.”</em></p>

<p>She added that the <strong><em>“invisible chronic illness”</em></strong> has made her deal with <em>“surgery, fears of potentially never being able to have children and burdening my friends and family, <strong>egg freezing, </strong>endless medications that make me feel like a shell of myself and more days than I can count of looking fine on the outside while feeling stabbing pain on the inside.”</em></p>



<p>She also said that she wanted to <em>“shed light on the seasons of darkness endometriosis can bring by <strong>spreading awareness</strong></em>,<em>” </em>especially around <em>“important conversations that need to be had around infertility.”</em></p>

It will be broadcast live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles</strong>, and you can watch it on CBS Television Network or Paramount+. Subscribers to the streaming platform who also have SHOWTIME will have access to the coverage through the live stream of their local CBS affiliate on the service.</p>
