Winning The Voice is not an easy task, and contestants fully immerse themselves in the competition that will grant a substantial prize to the victorious person, while the second-place finisher receives something less.

The prize money has remained the same since the beginning of the program. In total, the artist who manages to win the edition takes home $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music Group.

The Primetime Emmy-winning reality show has featured great talents on its stages, and sometimes the second-place finisher has gained more fame or success than the winner itself, as has been the case with Cassadee Pope.

Runner-up rewards in The Voice

The second winner of The Voice does not receive a reward or any type of contract but only takes home praise and the audience’s attention. Although they don’t receive a cash prize, they can gain benefits and additional opportunities through exposure and experience on the show.

Often, finalists, including the second-place finisher, have the chance to stand out in the music industry and may be noticed by music professionals, which, in turn, can open doors for future career opportunities.

Despite not receiving a contract for the second position, if there are talent scouts watching, they may receive offers. This has happened with Cassadee Pope, who has built one of the most successful careers among former participants.
