The Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun’s feud, which impacted the music industry and remains a pop culture moment that defined 2019, will now be the subject of a new two-part documentary series, produced by Warner Bros. Discovery U.K.

The series will take a closer look into the feud between the singer and the producer and manager, particularly surrounding Braun’s acquisition of the rights to Swift’s albums with Big Machine Records back in 2019. The title, “Bad Blood,” notably echoes one of Swift’s hit songs from her “1989” album.

Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: When is the documentary coming out?

The documentary is set to be released on June 21. It will be available to stream in the UK and Ireland on Discovery+. Meanwhile, it’s expected to be released on Max and HBO Go for the rest of the world.

How will it be divided?

Each episode of the new documentary will aim to provide a comprehensive exploration of both Swift’s claims and Braun’s perspective of the feud that began (at least for the public) when Swift alleged that the sale of her masters was conducted without her consultation, effectively blocking her from reclaiming ownership.

On the other hand, Braun maintained Swift’s refusal to negotiate privately led to a public dispute, which was exacerbated by Swift’s discussions about the matter on Twitter. After that, the singer has been re-releasing all her previous albums under Big Machine Records., as “Taylor’s Version.”

Matt Reid will executive produce “Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood” for Warner Bros. Discovery in the U.K. and Ireland, while Nick Hornby and Sarah Eglin executive produce for Optomen TV.
