The story follows Grey Trace (played by Logan Marshall-Green), a mechanic who becomes a quadriplegic after a violent assault that also results in the death of his wife, Asha (played by Melanie Vallejo).



Desperate and with no options, he is contacted by Eron Keen (played by Harrison Gilbertson), a reclusive tech genius who offers him a radical solution: an experimental implant called STEM.



The movie is set in the near future where advanced technology is omnipresent. As Grey delves into the criminal underworld to uncover the truth, STEM begins to exhibit signs of autonomy.

The series stars Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara, David Wilmot, Chris Walley, Seán Óg Cairns, Peter Bankole, and Kerri McLean. However, as it usually happens with some shows with weird storylines, many viewers are wondering if there’s truth behind the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series.</a> Here’s what to know.



<h2>‘Bodkin’: Is the show based on a true story?</h2>



While in the trailer, it stated that the show was “based on a true story…overheard at a pub”, it is entirely fictional. As we said, the series was created by British writer Jez Scharf, whose previous works include Mister Biscuits (2018), Groucho Nietzsche (2014), and The UnDream (2013).

Executive producer Alex Metcalf confirmed to Tudum that the story is not real, and the town is also fictional. “It’s a fake town, it’s a fake place. It’s all fake people. The mystery itself, we worked very hard to find something that is in no way adjacent to a real true crime story. The fictionality of it was very deliberate,” he explained.



The series was directed in part by Bronwen Hughes (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul,13 Reasons Why), and it has received mostly positive reviews. So far, the series has a 68% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Since Black Bear, the film company behind “77 Blackout,” has yet to find a buyer for the production at the Cannes Market, it’s very probable that it won’t hit theaters this year. However, by examining the schedules of the leads, we can estimate a release date.

Although it was not a massive box office success at the time, it has gained recognition for its focus on a real serial murder case and the actors’ ability to convey the intensity and seriousness of the story.

The story created by Patxi Amezcua and Alejo Flah follows a con artist and his rise to the top of the corruption surrounding the real estate bubble after the arrival of the euro in Spain in 2002.



Arón Piper is the one who brings the main character to life: Iván Márquez, a young man from Vallecas who feels confined by his neighborhood and starts working for an international organization dedicated to money laundering.

After its release on Sept. 30 in 2022, “Smile” opened up in first place at the domestic box office, grossing $22 million this weekend. At the end of its theatrical run it grossed a total worldwide of $217.4 million against a production budget of $17 million.



According to Deadline, the film’s net profit was $101 million, taking into account production budgets, marketing, talent participations, and other costs. However, it was placed tenth on their 2022 list of “Most Valuable Blockbuster.” Curiously, the film was first intended for streaming only.

According to Nunn, the first one feels like “concrete, gray, green, cold movie,” and that he wanted to change the visuals for the second to emulate what it feels like when you pass a level in a video game. After thinking about the concept, he said he wanted to set the second one in the airport because “it is just so cinematic, and visual and feels big-budget,” and even as little homage to “Die Hard 2.”



Apart from Adkins and Elgadi, the movie also stars Michael Jai White, Alexis Knapp, Tom Berenger, Hannah Arterton, Meena Rayann, Jill Winternitz, and Neil Linpow. Nunn also revealed to Action Reloaded that Harris’ role was written with Adkins in mind, which definitely helps to use the actor’s strengths in the performance.
