Now, we can officially announce that the film is ready to hit theaters, as Neon has emerged victorious and has set an official release date. Expectations are high, given its involvement in some of the most captivating <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/horror">horror</a> titles in recent years, such as “Infinity Pool” and “Titane.”

After discovering their father’s old toy monkey hidden away in the attic, twin brothers Hal and Bill find themselves amidst a series of alarming deaths. Yet, as the mysterious deaths return, the brothers are drawn back together, determined to rid themselves of the malevolent presence of the toy once and for all.

And the significance doesn’t end with the actors. Oz Perkins, son of “Psycho” star Anthony Perkins, directs the film. Neon has entrusted him with this second collaboration after “Longlegs,” the company’s jewel of 2024, set to release on July 12.



But there’s more. James Wan, the contemporary horror icon, produced the project. It seems he’s moving away from “The Conjuring” and “Insidious” to explore more radical titles.

The movie is based on the 1980 short story of the same name by Stephen King, and it will follow two brothers who stumble upon their father’s vintage toy monkey in the attic and then start to witness a string of terrifying deaths.

The story follows Eddie Horniman, who inherits his father’s large estate, an English aristocrat, and becomes the new Duke of Halstead, only to discover that he is on the largest grass farm in Europe, owned by the legendary Mickey Pearson.
