<p>David Nicholls’s novel <strong>“One Day” </strong>will come back to life with a new adaptation by <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix.</a></strong> However, this time the romantic <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a></strong> will be told in a series format, which will allow more room to explore the epic 20-year relationship between <strong>Dexter and Emma.</strong></p>



<p>The critically acclaimed novel was previously made into a film, also written by Nicholls, starring<strong> Anne Hathaway</strong> and <strong>Jim Sturgess </strong>in 2011, which received mixed reviews. Now, the author is on board as an executive director, while Nicole Taylor (Wild Rose) is leading the writing.</p>



<p>Nicholls admitted that he didn’t want to write the series because h<em><strong>e “felt like it needed a fresh pair of eyes, but it’s been bliss,”</strong></em> as he told Entertainment Tonight. If you’re ready to watch this emotional love story, here’s all you need to know.</p>

<h2>One Day: When does the series premiere on Netflix?</h2>



<p>One Day arrives on Netflix on <strong>Thursday, February 8th</strong>. The series follows Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew. They <strong>“speak for the very first time”</strong> on 15th July 1988, the night of their graduation, before going their separate ways the next morning. </p>



<p>We will follow them every year on this particular date as they get older,<em><strong> “move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak,”</strong></em> per the official synopsis.</p>



<h2>Who is the cast of ‘One Day’?</h2>



<p>Ambika Mod will star as Emma Morley, and Leo Woodall will play Dexter Mayhew. Mod is known for the BBC drama <strong>“This Is Going To Hurt,”</strong> while Woodall is recognized for his role in the second season of HBO’s <strong>“The White Lotus.” </strong></p>

<p>There are <strong>14 episodes in the drama</strong>. Mod told RadioTimes.com that she “really enjoyed the film, but I think a lot of people felt that – and I would agree – that an hour-and-a-half movie isn’t usually enough to dedicate to this epic novel that spans 20 years.”</p>
