The highly-anticipated animated series “Batman: Caped Crusader” has finally arrived on Prime Video on August 1st, and has received positive reviews. For fans of the character, the series has been a treat and there are questions about whether it will be more.

‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ is being produced by J.J. Abrams, Bruce Timm and ‘The Batman’ director Matt Reeves. So, maybe, it’s not surprising that it follows a similar tone to the latest movie of the hero, mostly the dark, emotional and noir tone.

Also, like Robert Pattinson’s iteration of the character, Bruce Wayne in the new series is also in his early days of fighting crime in Gotham City. So, if you already watched the ten episodes and you are waiting for more, here’s what we know about a second season.

Has Batman: Caped Crusader Been Renewed for Season 2?

Yes, upon picking up the streaming rights to “Batman: Caped Crusader,” Amazon reportedly ordered two seasons of the series, according to IGN. The streamer has yet to announce when Season 2 will air.

The series draws inspiration from Batman stories from the 1940s and 1960s, and it has received positive reviews by critics. USA Today described the series as possibly “the most sensitive, nuanced version of the hero you’re likely to see.”

The cast includes Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn, Christina Ricci as Selyna Kyle/Catwoman, Minnie Driver as Oswalda Cobblepot (a female version of the Penguin), Eric Morgan as James Gordon and Diedrich Bader as Harvey Dent.

Many of the well-known characters of the comic books appear, including Barbara Gordon, voiced by Krystal Joy Brown, and, of course, Alfred, who is voiced by Jason Watkins. Also, The Joker makes a cameo.
