Lover, Stalker, Killer is the new Netflix documentary film, directed by Sam Hobkinson, which has become the most-watched on the platform in the United States, surpassing titles like American Assassin and Made in Italy.

According to Flix Patrol, the original streaming service production is a hybrid film, telling the story as if it were a documentary and portrayed by real actors, such as Jessica N Johnson, Katie Otten and Chris Maher.
The shocking real-life story revolves around a love triangle that shook the world in 2021, with Dave Kroupa, Liz Golyar and Cari Farver as the central figures. The plot narrates the terrible events that unfolded after the man began casually dating two women in Nebraska.
According to the scenes depicted in the film, even though Dave made it clear he wasn’t looking for anything serious, his return to the dating scene after his divorce triggered a twisted tale of stalking that ended in fire and murder.
Kroupa himself recounts what happened in the documentary, and there he can be heard saying, “I went to the back of the store (…) and cried. I was trying to go over the pieces of the puzzle and put them together… It was Liz who had been stalking me all this time”.

In addition to the life sentence, which does not provide the possibility of parole, she also received a sentence of 18 to 20 years for the arson committed at her own home with her pets inside and her efforts to try to attribute the crime to Cari Farver.
As of today, she is serving her sentence at the Nebraska Center for Women’s Correctional Facility. Dave Kroupa spoke in an interview with People some time ago and confessed, “She ruined my life, as much as you can without killing me”.

Well, since Liz Golyar was arrested in December 2016, Dave has decided to stay in the shadows and maintain a very low profile because he confessed that he feels partly responsible for Cari Farver’s death.
In the documentary, he shared, “I don’t feel guilt-free about all of this. A lot of bad things happened to good people, all because of a series of events where I’m at the center. The woman I dated had goals, was smiley, and wanted to do something. She was just trying to make her way in this world. I regret a lot what happened”.
