If you’re looking for a comedy, you can enjoy the Brazilian movie “Partiu América,” which was one of the trending titles on Netflix for the week of May 13 to May 19, according to Tudum.

However, if you’re looking for a similar film, you can also watch the Brazilian comedy “Partiu América,” which was one of the trending titles for the week of May 13 to May 19 according to Tudum.

The movie stars Matheus Ceará and Priscila Fantin, well-known names in the entertainment industry of Brazil. It was directed by Rodrigo César, who is known for the miniseries “It’s All Right” and the comedy “Lucicreide Goes to Mars.”

This time, distributed on Netflix, the movie has become one of the most watched titles after premiering on May 14 on the platform. Apart from Cesará and Fantin, the movie stars Luara Fonseca and Gabriel Palhares.

What is ‘Partiu América’ about? All to know about this comedy

The movie follows Matheus (Ceará), a somewhat clumsy amusement park owner who dreams of visiting the United States. In search of making this dream come true, he, his wife Maria Caranguejo (Fantin) and their children Stevenspilbi (Palheres) and Florinha (Fonseca) will go through endless hardships, worthy of a good family trip.

It was produced by All Screens Films and Grupo Telefilms, and it was filmed in 2022. Many of the scenes took place at Busch Gardens, in Tampa, known for its extreme roller coasters. Other members of the cast includes Rubens Santos, Flávio Andrade, Rodrigo Emerenciano, Cássica Valle, Igor Guimarães and Renato Albani.

How many people watched ‘Partiu América’?

According to Netflix’s own Top 10 list of the week, “Partiu América” is the second most-watched Non-English film with 3.4 million views. It’s behind the Spanish thriller ‘The Courier,” which amassed 11.2 million views.

The rest of the Non-English Top 10 according to Netflix includes: “Monster,” the Indian horror thriller “Shaitaan,” “Laapataa Ladies,” “Honeymoonish,” “The Guardian of the Monarchs,” “Adagio,” “Tad, The Lost Explorer and the Emerald Tablet” and “The Tearsmith.”
