Pain & Gain” is a comedy-crime film directed by Michael Bay (Transformers), which despite being released in 2013, continues to be one of the top choices for viewers and fans of action thrillers.

More than 10 years after the release of “Pain & Gain“, the movie has returned to be one of the biggest trends on Netflix and has currently earned a spot within the Top 10, this time occupying the last place.

Flix Patrol, the specialized site in streaming platforms, reported this morning that the action thriller has captured the attention of users worldwide, making it one of the most viewed in multiple countries.

The story follows a group of bodybuilders from Miami who become involved in a series of crimes and kidnappings as they try to achieve the American dream through robbery and extortion.

The plot revolves around Daniel Lugo, a fitness instructor obsessed with wealth and material success. Lugo recruits two gym colleagues, Adrian Doorbal and Paul Doyle, to help him kidnap a wealthy businessman.

However, their plan to force him to transfer his assets quickly complicates, and the characters find themselves in a spiral of violence and mistakes as they try to maintain their illusion of grandeur.

The drama is known for Michael Bay‘s characteristic visual style, with exaggerated action scenes and a satirical tone that addresses themes such as obsession with success, greed and the pursuit of the American dream.
