Netflix: K-drama 'Miss Night and Day' enters the global Top 10 within three days

"Miss Night and Day," a new K-drama which arrived on Netflix, has managed to enter the global Top 10 on the platform within days after its premiere.

Among the trending titles this week on Netflix there is the new weekly K-drama, “Miss Night and Day.” The series, which was released on June 15, has entered the global Top 10 in the ninth spot, according to FlixPatrol.

The series, which airs on JTBC in South Korea, is directed by Lee Hyung Min, who is known for working on titles such as “Bad Boy” (2010) and “Strong Girl Bong-soon” (2017). Meanwhile, it was penned by Park Ji Ha, who has credits on “Good Casting” (2020) and “She’s Different from Day to Night” (2024).

A production of Samha Networks and Studio LuluLala, the series has become a global hit with only two episodes available. However, here’s all you need to know about this fantasy comedy, which stars Jung Eun Ji and Choi Jin Hyuk.

Netflix’s new K-Drama ‘Miss Night and Day’ is trending worldwide

‘Miss Night and Day’ follows Lee Mi Jin (Jung Eun Ji), a 20-year-old woman who has been struggling to find a lasting job. But her life changes when one day she awakens in the body of a fifty-year-old woman. But when night falls, she transforms back into her young self. So, Lee Mi Jin uses this opportunity to pursue her dream career.

Apart from Jung Eun Ji, the series stars Lee Jung Eun as the 50-year-old version of Lee Mi Jin. The actress is known for starring in several series on Netflix such as “Mr. Sunshine,” “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” “When the Camellia Blooms,” “My Hole Love,” “Hi Bye, Mama!,” “Law School,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Juvenile Justice,” and “Our Blues.”

Another well known name that fans will recognize is Choi Jin Hyuk, who in the series plays Gye Ji Woong. He is best known for starring in “Rugal,” as well as other popular names such as “Tunnel,” “Devilish Joy,” and “Fated to Love You.”

Yoong Byung Hee, Jung Suk Yong, Jung Young Joo, Baek Seo Hoo, and Kang Ji Woon complete the cast. This fantasy comedy will consist of 16 episodes, with two new episodes coming out on Saturdays and Sundays until the show’s finale on August 4th, 2024.
