We’ve been craving more coming-of-age movies like those from the 2000s, and Netflix has answered with “Incoming.” This new title has quickly become one of the most-watched films in the United States shortly after being released, according to Flix Patrol.

Directed by brothers Dave and John Chernin, the production marks their feature-length debut. You might recognize them as the writers behind “The Mick” and several episodes of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.

“Incoming” pays homage to classics like “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Superbad,” so if you loved those pictures back in the day, it is definitely worth a watch!

‘Incoming’ is the fourth most-watched movie on Netflix US

“Incoming” is set to be one of Netflix’s biggest teen genre successes for the latter half of the year, as evidenced by its rapid rise to #4 on the U.S. charts within just 24 hours of its release.

The film has quickly surpassed popular titles like “The Emoji Movie” and “Trolls Band Together,” and is now in a close competition with “Migration” for top spots on the ranking.

The story follows Benj Nielsen and his three friends, freshmen who face the excitement and trepidation of their first major high school party, experiencing both the awkwardness and triumphs of adolescence.

It’s highly recommended for a family movie night or a teen sleepover!
