Netflix: Flipino drama 'A Journey' occupies the Top 10 worldwide in just a week

Foreign movies are taking the lead in Netflix‘s catalog and this week, several of them have managed to enter the Top 10 worldwide. Not only was the Swedish film “Stolen” a hit, but now “A Journey” has also entered.

The Filipino production arrived on the platform just a week ago and is part of the list of recent big hits, featuring a touching story about drama, friendship, illness and personal resilience.

RC Delos Reyes, known for titles like “Alter Me”, directed the new and original project, which stars figures such as Kaye Abad (The Comeback), Paolo Contis (A Faraway Land) and Patrick Garcia (Batang PX).

A Journey ranked No. 10 movie on Netflix worldwide

A Journey” is Netflix’s new original fiction directed by RC Delos Reyes that has not only captivated hundreds of users from different countries but also holds the tenth position in the ranking of the most-watched movies.

The metrics-specialized site, Flix Patrol, reported this morning that the title was one of the latest additions to the streaming platform that has earned a place on the list in just a week.

The story follows a woman who refuses cancer treatment and embarks on a road trip through Tasmania with her husband and best friend to check things off her bucket list before she dies.

Kaye Abad is the one who brings the main character, Shane, to life. Meanwhile, Paolo Contis and Patrick Garcia played two important roles in the plot, those of Bryan and Kristoffer Tupe.

It’s an ideal choice if you want to experience an emotional film that portrays terminal illness, a lonely future and a balancing act where three childhood friends forget their troubles to embark on an epic journey through Tasmania.
