Ryan Murphy has brought the series Monster back to Netflix with its second season, titled “The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story”, which portrays one of the most discussed and disturbing cases in history.

This time, the story follows the wealthy Menendez brothers who are on trial for shooting their parents in Beverly Hills, claiming self-defense after years of abuse, while prosecutors argue that greed was the motive.

Cooper Koch was chosen to portray Erik, while Nicholas Alexander Chavez plays Lyle. Both have delivered strong performances and shared the screen with figures such as Javier Bardem, Molly Ringwald and Chloë Sevigny.

Who composed the score for Season 2 of Monsters?

The soundtrack of the second season was one of the most important elements of the series, as it effectively set the atmosphere for the scenes. The score was created by Thomas Newman and his daughter Julia Newman.

Thomas is known for his work on the music for several popular productions in both film and television. Some of his most notable titles include The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty and The Green Mile.

As for Julia, the composer has previously worked with Ryan Murphy, the creator of the drama. Before working on Monster, they collaborated on the TV series “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans”.
