According to IMDb, Paul Walter Hauser is also part of the film, but he hasn’t made any comments, and his exact role has not been disclosed yet. Some sources, like Tomatazos from Rotten Tomatoes, speculate that he might be the one to play the lead role in the drama.

Quentin provided some details about the main role in his latest work and clarified that he was looking for an American actor in his mid-thirties to bring the character to life. “I haven’t decided yet, but it will be someone around 35 years old. It will definitely be a new lead for me. I have an idea of someone I imagine doing really well”, he said.

During the morning of Saturday, January 10th, there were rumors circulating about the possibility of Tom Cruise joining the cast. According to Jeff Sneider of The InSneider, the actor is gearing up for a role in the director’s latest film, serving as the co-protagonist of the narrative. His character still remains a mystery.

When will The Movie Critic be released?

The pieces of the movie are still coming together, so not much is known about the project. However, it has been confirmed that it will make its big screen debut sometime in 2025, although the exact date is still unknown as it is in the development stage, and filming dates have not been disclosed yet.

What is The Movie Critic about?

The Movie Critic will have a distinctive Tarantino style, and the plot will revolve around an irreverent critic in 1970s California who reviews mainstream movies for an adult magazine called “The Popstar Pages.”

According to various sources, such as IMDb and Deadline, and comments made by the acclaimed director, the film is loosely inspired by the story of a real anonymous writer who allegedly died at the age of thirty.
