According to an exclusive by Deadline, Millie Bobby Brown is in the final stages of negotiations to portray Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug in “Perfect,” a new biopic directed by Gia Coppola.

Her story is one of determination and courage. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, she was part of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team competing for gold. During the team finals, Strug injured her ankle while performing her second vault—a move critical to securing victory for her team. Despite the pain, she landed the vault successfully, helping the United States claim its first-ever team gold in women’s gymnastics.

Her performance became instantly iconic, symbolizing grit and sacrifice in sports. Strug’s determination inspired viewers around the world and cemented her place in Olympic history. She was celebrated not only for her athletic skill but for her sheer bravery under pressure, leaving a lasting impression on fans and fellow athletes alike.
