Prime Video has been releasing great movies in 2024, but one of the most anticipated by fans of romantic dramas with a bit of action is undoubtedly “One Fast Move“, which was directed and scripted by Kelly Blatz.

The title was released just a day ago and has already become the fourth most-watched film on the platform worldwide, thanks to the incredible performances of its stars: K.J. Apa (Riverdale) and Maia Reficco (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin).

Is Prime Video’s One Fast Move based on a true story?

Despite the movie portraying a story that could easily be true, that’s not the case. The title by Kelly Blatz available on Amazon Prime Video’s catalog is NOT based on real events; it is fictional.

One Fast Move” follows Wes Neal, who, in pursuit of his dream of becoming a professional pilot, seeks out his estranged father, Dean Miller. The young man receives help from his partner and a motorcycle dealer, Camila and Abel.

In an interview with Upi, which was carried out through Zoom, lead actor KJ Apa discussed the plot and expressed his love for “stories of redemption“, adding “I want to feel hope when I watch a movie“.

He also stated that he believes his character can “contribute his energy to something positive” and sincerely hopes this will come to fruition. “I hope to be part of films that can inspire people to look inward“, he concluded.
