'Emilia Perez' soundtrack: Is Selena Gomez involved in the film's music?

Emilia Pérez” is the next big title directed by Jacques Audiard that will hit the big screen, bringing together Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofía Gascón in a comedic drama full of action, crime and chaos.

The musical follows lawyer Rita, who receives an unexpected offer. She must help a feared cartel boss retire from his business and disappear forever by becoming the woman he has always dreamed of being.

The singer of “Old Same Love” plays Jessi, and many fans have been wondering if she might have something to do with the soundtrack or if we might see her sing at some point in the drama

Will Selena Gomez be featured in Emilia Perez’s music?

That’s right! Selena Gomez will be part of the soundtrack for “Emilia Pérez”‘ with the song “El Camino“, which could be released in the coming days. Camille and composer Clément Ducol were the ones who wrote it.

The list includes 16 songs, but it seems that this is the only one featuring the singer. The composers talked about this track and Netflix reported that Jacques Audiard advised the team to watch “My Mind & Me” before writing it for her.

Ducol stated that “It’s a very punk, very fun song“. Except for this particular track, all the songs for the movie were recorded before filming, which took place in Paris during the first months of 2023.

Variety reported on the afternoon of August 31 that Selena has two standout moments in the drama and one of them is when the song plays, which could lead the Academy to take her into consideration.
