The three big screen collaborations between Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg rank among the top comedy films of the last twenty years, but “The Other Guys” is simply unbeatable. It’s no surprise to see it among the top spots on Max in the United States, even though it was released in 2010.

Directed by Adam McKay, one of Ferrell’s most frequent associates, the title showcases their successful partnership. Together, they have created several iconic flicks, such as “Talladega Nights” and “Anchorman,” solidifying Ferrell as one of America’s best comedians.

Unlike many similar films of its time, “The Other Guys” was well received by both audiences and critics, praised as one of the best cop-buddy productions.

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg make an unforgettable comedic duo, which explains why “The Other Guys” is currently holding the #3 spot on Max’s charts in the United States.

Remarkably, “The Other Guys” has surpassed “The Iron Claw” in viewership, despite it being expected to dominate the next Oscars. It is now in a tight race with “Ride Along 2,” a similar comedy featuring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, for the second spot.

In this Adam McKay production, Ferrell and Wahlberg play Allen Gamble and Terry Hoitz, two New York City cops living in the shadow of the department’s heroes, super agents Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith. But when crime strikes the Big Apple, this quirky duo must step up and prove their worth.

While the leads deliver highly entertaining performances, the supporting cast shines just as brightly. Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, and Michael Keaton are among the stars who contribute to the film’s status as a top comedy.

Commercially, “The Other Guys” was a success, grossing $170.9 million against a budget of $85–100 million. It even outperformed Christopher Nolan’s “Inception,” which was in theaters at the same time.
