While it’s not Halloween yet, Netflix is already preparing for the spooky season with “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” Ryan Murphy’s take on the infamous 1989 murders of José and Kitty Menéndez by their sons. It’s set to be one of the biggest streaming hits of the second half of 2024!
This is the second season in the “Monsters” anthology series, following “The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” led by Evan Peters, which was between the most-watched shows of 2022. And there’s more to come—Ryan Murphy has already announced that production on the third part is about to begin.

The actors portraying the Menendez brothers are sure to be in the spotlight for weeks to come, and Nicholas Alexander Chavez, who plays Lyle, is already becoming a trending topic. Nicholas Alexander Chavez is happily in love with his girlfriend, Victoria Abbott, a 23-year-old actress. Raised in Bellevue, Nebraska, the newcomer moved to Los Angeles at 13, where she began acting and quickly fell in love with the craft, as she shared in an interview with Voyage LA.

Her first booking was a Disney Infinity commercial in eighth grade, and she has been auditioning and working ever since. While Abbott has primarily appeared in commercials and music videos through Bella Agency, LA, the actress already has three TV credits that are likely to propel her career further.
Her first notable role was in “Geisting,” a 2021 pilot for a horror-comedy where viewers experience the world from the perspective of poltergeists learning to live their “best deaths.” The pilot starred Bonnie Aarons in the leading part, famous for her role as the Nun in “The Conjuring” universe.
Victoria’s second credit came in “Echoes,” a 2022 Netflix psychological drama, where she portrayed one of a pair of identical twins alongside her sister, Madeline Abbott. In the show, they have secretly swapped lives since childhood, leading to a double life that unravels when one of them mysteriously disappears.
Her most anticipated work is “Grotesquerie,” where she plays Andrea Saldana in three episodes. Interestingly, Nicholas Alexander Chavez stars as one of the main characters, Father Charlie. While it’s unclear if their characters interact on screen, it’s certain the couple enjoyed filming Ryan Murphy’s project together.
