Sweeney’s connection to the region stretches back long before her rise in Hollywood. Born in Spokane in 1997, she spent her early years in the area and was raised near the Washington-Idaho border. Before launching her acting career, she attended Saint George’s School in Spokane and eventually convinced her parents to support her ambitions with a detailed five-year plan that led the family to relocate to Los Angeles while she pursued auditions.
According to TMZ, Sweeney returned to Washington with her boyfriend after learning of the growing destruction caused by the fires. The outlet reported that she has been delivering meals to firefighters working on the front lines, helping prepare and distribute food for affected families, and volunteering with organizations including Second Harvest Food Bank in Spokane and World Central Kitchen.

TMZ also reported that she has been purchasing groceries, coordinating with local restaurants to support displaced residents, and making significant donations to multiple relief organizations. The reported volunteer work comes as the Spokane Complex Fire continues to strain emergency resources across the region. The cluster of wildfires has forced approximately 65,000 people to evacuate, destroyed more than 700 structures, and remains only partially contained despite recent progress by firefighting crews. Authorities have also declared a state of emergency, while investigators continue examining the causes of the fires, including an arson case connected to one of the major blazes.
