After the worldwide success of “The Tearsmith“, the two main actors have been on everyone’s lips, and one of them has been Simone Baldasseroni (also known as Biondo), who has become an Italian icon.
The star, also a musician, brought Rigel Wilde to life in the Netflix dark romance based on the novel written by Erin Doom, which was published in 2018 and became one of the most popular bestsellers.
His performance was not only praised by users of the streaming giant but many have highlighted the chemistry with his co-star, Caterina Ferioli. Here, check out what the actor’s upcoming projects are…
What are Biondo’s next projects?
Linking Love (L’amor fuggente) | 2024
Biondo not only has major musical projects in sight but also some film projects. The most anticipated and confirmed one is the Italian comedy L’amor fuggente (also known as Linking Love or Chasing Love).
Directed by Davide Lomma, the story is a rom-com written by Simona Ferri, Antonio Cardia and the director himself. The actor will bring to life one of the main characters: Xebo.
The filming has already been completed, and the first teaser was released five months ago, in October 2023. Although the exact release date has not been confirmed yet, it will arrive during 2024.
The story follows Fil and Mia, a close-knit couple who have lived together for years, despite being very different in character and attitudes: he is an eclectic emerging director, while she is a methodical mathematics teacher.
Their routine is disrupted by an argument that culminates in an unexpected marriage proposal from Mia and Fil’s subsequent escape. This event triggers a series of intertwined stories involving the couple’s family and friends. Lives and loves of all ages will collide and blend before concluding in a surprising and adventurous finale.
As it is a narrative that intertwines multiple characters, the cast is quite extensive and filled with Italian talents. Eva Cela, Lorenzo Adorni, Miguel Gobbo Diaz, Katsiaryna Shulha and Diane Fleri are some of them.
