The Academy Award winner has been named to the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s Class of 2027, becoming one of the latest actors set to receive one of Hollywood’s most recognizable honors. According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Rockwell joins a class of 32 entertainment figures.
Sam Rockwell’s Career Has Been Defined by Award-Winning Performances
Rockwell spent years building a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most versatile character actors before becoming an Academy Award winner. Early in his career, he stood out in films such as “The Green Mile,” “Galaxy Quest,” and “Charlie’s Angels,” before earning widespread critical acclaim for leading performances in “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” “Moon,” “Seven Psychopaths,” and “The Way, Way Back.”

His career reached another level with “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” which earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Rockwell followed that success with another Oscar nomination for portraying former President George W. Bush in “Vice,” while continuing to balance prestige projects with mainstream hits such as “Jojo Rabbit,” “Richard Jewell,” and “The Bad Guys” franchise.
Beyond film, Rockwell has remained active on television and the stage. His portrayal of legendary choreographer Bob Fosse in “Fosse/Verdon” earned him major television honors and Emmy nominations, while his acclaimed guest appearance in “The White Lotus” introduced his work to another generation of viewers. He has also returned to Broadway in recent years, earning a Tony Award nomination for “American Buffalo.”
