While she has largely kept the focus on skincare and healthy habits, the actress spoke candidly in a 2024 interview with Allure about the cosmetic procedures she has undergone, the treatments she avoids, and why she remains open to future plastic surgery.

Sofía Vergara Is Open About the Cosmetic Procedures She Has Had

Rather than claiming her appearance is entirely natural, Vergara has openly acknowledged incorporating cosmetic treatments into her routine. Speaking with Allure, she revealed, “I’ve been doing Botox for a long time in my neck, [around] my eyes,” explaining that those treatments have been part of her beauty regimen for years.

At the same time, the “Modern Family” star drew a clear distinction between Botox and fillers. “I don’t believe in filler,” she said, adding that while it can work for younger people looking to enhance certain features, “At my age… I feel it’s not going to make you look younger. It is going to make you look more done.” She also shared that she believes filler “actually doesn’t pull you up; it kind of weighs [you down],” which is why she avoids it at this stage of her life.

Vergara also credited decades of diligent sunscreen use for helping maintain her skin. Looking back, she said, “I do think it makes a difference,” recalling how friends who skipped sun protection now tell her, “‘Why didn’t we pay attention to you?'” She added that she also supports professional skincare treatments such as lasers and chemical peels for those who want to address signs of aging.

Although she has not undergone plastic surgery, Vergara made it clear that she is not opposed to it. “I feel like I’m going to do every plastic surgery that I can do when I’m ready,” she said, explaining that her busy filming schedule has simply made recovery difficult. “Because I’m in front of the camera, it’s not like I can do something and then sit in my house recuperating for weeks.” For now, she continues to rely on a combination of skincare, Botox, and sun protection while remaining open about the choices she may make in the future.
