Joe Flaherty was one of the most well-known comedy actors in the industry, not only for his work in TV shows like Freaks and Geeks but also for his charisma and talent in front of the camera, since his debut in 1971.
This morning, the sad news of his passing at the age of 82 was confirmed. Variety reported that the event occurred on Monday, April 1st, and it was his own daughter who communicated that he was battling a brief illness.
The founding member of the Canadian series SCTV will always be remembered for his extensive legacy and his performances in some of the biggest hits in film and television, such as Back to the Future II.
