Since that fateful New Year’s Day in 2023, when Jeremy Renner suffered a life-threatening accident, audiences have been eager to see him back doing what he does best—acting, safe and sound. Thankfully, that moment has arrived a year ago. Still in recovery, Renner returned to “Mayor of Kingstown” and delivered the powerhouse performance fans have come to expect.

Now, as he prepares for the new season of the Paramount+ crime drama on October 24, he’s also gearing up for an exciting slate of upcoming projects. Here’s a look at what’s next for the a-lister.

Jeremy Renner joins the star-studded cast of “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” the follow-up to Rian Johnson’s hit “Glass Onion.” In this standalone sequel, Renner plays Dr. Nat Sharp, a small-town physician caught in the midst of a puzzling death that draws master detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, into a tight-knit religious community.

With a supporting cast that includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, and Andrew Scott, the film promises the signature blend of sharp wit, intricate plotting, and eccentric characters that fans of the franchise love.

Jeremy Renner is set to portray Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist David Armstrong in an untitled feature from award-winning filmmakers Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly. The film chronicles Armstrong’s four-year investigation into Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family, exposing how the company concealed the addictive risks of OxyContin—a crisis that has led to more than 200,000 prescription painkiller-related deaths in the U.S. It’s important to note that this project has not received major updates since its announcement in 2022.
