Sunday, 27 October, was poised to mark the quiet end of another week until a Timothée Chalamet lookalike competition brought chaos to Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. The contest, which attracted an impressive number of participants and spectators, became quite chaotic when the actor himself made an appearance, sending his fans into a frenzy.

There were many incredible frontrunners who bore a strong resemblance to the “Dune 2” star, but the winner ended up being a 21-year-old from Staten Island named Miles Mitchell, who became a worldwide celebrity in just one day, with his profile covered by many major media outlets across the globe.

Due to this success, it looks like these kind of gatherings will become a trend, and it seems that it has already lined up its next celebrity for fans to imitate and win a big prize. Here, learn all about the Jeremy Allen White lookalike contest!

Jeremy Allen White’s lookalike competition: The meme poised to become a real-life event

While Jeremy Allen White has no upcoming releases for the rest of 2024, he is making headlines again for having his very own lookalike contest! After Timothée Chalamet’s one, users of X began to spread a viral tweet announcing that the next challenge would be to resemble the star of “The Bear.”

What initially started as a meme from @girlflopping is likely to become a real event, as the announcement gained huge traction on the former Twitter, garnering over 34,000 likes and 2,000 retweets. It stated that the contest will take place on November 17 at 1 PM at the Washington Square Park Arch. Similar to the funny $50 given to the Chalamet lookalike, this time the prize will be two packs of cigarettes and a seven-day MetroCard.

The comments under the post laughed at the occurrence and celebrated that this type of celebrity doppelganger award reunion continues to happen. From asking if Gene Wilder would come back to participate to wondering whether White will make an appearance like the “Call Me by Your Name” leading man did, the idea gained quite a bit of traction.

While Ayo Edebiri‘s co-star doesn’t necessarily shy away from the camera, he is not known for being the type to attend an informal fan event organized so randomly like this one. Therefore, whether he will attend or not is uncertain. But one thing is for sure: these contests are just getting started! Be prepared to audition for your celebrity lookalike.
