Scheduled for release on January 30, 2026, this action thriller marks the first collaboration between Statham and director Ric Roman Waugh (Angel Has Fallen). Statham stars as Mason, a reclusive former assassin living in a remote coastal home who is forced back into a life of violence after rescuing a young girl during a storm. The film features an impressive supporting cast, including Bill Nighy and Naomi Ackie, and is expected to deliver a grounded, character-driven take on the survival-thriller subgenre.

Set to hit theaters on August 21, 2026, Mutiny follows Cole Reed (Statham), a former Special Forces operative and NYPD officer who is framed for the murder of his billionaire industrialist boss. To clear his name and uncover a global conspiracy, Reed must navigate a dangerous world of private security and international intrigue. Directed by Jean-François Richet (Plane), this project is produced by Statham’s own Punch Palace Productions, ensuring it carries his signature brand of fast-paced, visceral combat.

Following the massive global success of the first film, Statham will return as the enigmatic Adam Clay for a high-octane sequel. While original director David Ayer has passed the baton to Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us), the sequel is expected to maintain the first film’s unique blend of “hive-themed” lore and brutal, creative choreography. The story will likely delve deeper into the secret organization of “Beekeepers” while pitting Clay against a new set of corrupt powerful figures.

Statham is officially set to reprise his fan-favorite role as Deckard Shaw in the final installment of the Fast & Furious main saga. Though production schedules have shifted, the film is aiming for a release in late 2026 or 2027 to serve as a grand finale for the billion-dollar franchise. Early reports suggest this chapter will move away from over-the-top tech and return to the franchise’s street-racing roots, featuring a major team-up between Shaw and Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs.
